Real Madrid really said let us skip the sensible part and go straight to the entertainment package because this is the exact sort of appointment that gets everyone watching and laughing and arguing at the same time, and you just know the first sign of trouble will have people acting like they saw it coming all along while secretly refreshing every update for more chaos
 
I can see the logic because Mourinho still brings structure and authority, and Madrid have never exactly been a low-pressure environment anyway. But if the dressing room starts becoming the story again then it will unravel fast imo
 
im genuinely buzzing because this is the sort of appointment that makes football feel alive again and i dont even care if it ends badly as long as we get the chaos and the pressers and the drama and all that nonsense because thats the fun bit anyway
 
The success of this will depend more on the squad than on the headline itself. If the players respond, the appointment makes sense.
 
If he goes there he will probably keep it tight early and make the side nasty to play against, that is what he does when he has elite players and a point to prove, but the second results wobble the whole thing becomes about personality clashes and power games and then the football gets lost in the noise no ending punctuation
