Pep to leave City? Absolute scenes

If this Ornstein report is right then we’re looking at the end of one of the biggest managerial runs the Premier League has ever seen. Ten years at City, loads of trophies, and now Pep supposedly out this summer with Maresca lined up to replace him.

It feels mad to even type it. Some fans will be delighted, some will be gutted, and plenty of neutrals will just be sitting there thinking the league has lost one of its main villains.

Either way, this is the sort of story that changes the whole mood around the league. The question now is what Pep does next, and whether City can keep rolling without him.
 
Nah I dont buy the whole hes running scared thing, if he goes itll be on his own terms not because of one rival or some silly online narrative and people are chatting absolute rubbish
 
Been watching City for years and this still feels weird as hell, like you just expect Pep to be there every week and now the whole thing is wobbling a bit and im not even a City fan
 
If this is true, the timing is fascinating because City are still in the middle of a season where they can apparently win the league. It also raises the obvious question of whether Maresca is really being prepared for the same level of control Pep has had for so long.
 
Citys whole shape will change if Pep goes because so much of their game is built around his control and the way he manages space, if Maresca comes in then there will be a transition period no matter how good he is and people acting like it is just plug and play are kidding themselves
 
I dont care what anyone says the whole bald fraud thing has been overdone but I am still fuming about how many times this bloke has made the league feel pointless for everyone else because every year it was the same machine same control same smug touchline stare and the rest of us just had to sit there and watch it, and now all the City fans are suddenly acting like they are the victims when the guy has had every luxury going and still gets treated like some misunderstood artist, get absolutely stuffed with that nonsense
 
A measured view is that this is probably the most sensible time for him to step away if he really is doing it, because a decade at one club is a ridiculous stretch and it is rare to see any manager keep that level of intensity forever. But at the same time I cannot lie, the idea of him not being in the league at all feels wrong and the whole discourse around City will now become even more unbearable because every rival fan will spend months pretending they have not been obsessed with him for years and every City fan will act like they have lost their dad, football is going to be chaos and I am here for every second of it
