Villa in bangers only mode

The officials have somehow managed to make this feel even more irritating because every little decision seems to drag the momentum around and you can see the frustration building on the pitch and in the stands and it is always the same in games like this where one side is already on top and then any marginal call just gets magnified and people start losing it and the refereeing just becomes part of the noise and honestly it is exhausting when you just want the football to speak for itself and instead it turns into a constant argument about what should have been given and what should not have been given and the whole thing gets dragged into the mud
 
I was in the pub the other night watching a game where nothing would go in and everyone was groaning into their pints and then you get nights like this where the first clean strike goes in and suddenly the whole place wakes up and starts losing its mind and it just reminds you why people love football because one minute its flat and the next minute its absolute chaos and somebody is shouting worldie at the screen while the lad next to him is already ordering another round and this Villa lot have that same energy right now and if I was a Freiburg fan I would be staring into my drink wondering what on earth just happened
 
This is exactly the sort of away performance that people remember when they talk about a team growing up in Europe. Villa have looked calm, direct, and completely unfazed by the occasion, and Freiburg have been left chasing shadows. It should not be this easy, but when the strikes are that clean you can see why the whole thread is losing its mind and honestly I would be too because this is just ridiculous now and Freiburg are getting opened up again and again and its starting to feel cruel
 
villa just look so relaxed every time they go forward and freiburg cant get near them really its mad how quick it has gone from a decent contest to everyone in the thread screaming bangers only and that is probably the story here tbh
 
It feels like Villa are winning the moments rather than the possession, which is often the real difference in these games. Freiburg may not be totally out of it on paper, but the confidence gap looks huge right now imo
 
On paper this is exactly what you want from a side away in Europe: stay calm, take your moments, and punish the mistakes. But the longer it goes on, the more it feels like Freiburg are mentally chasing the game rather than actually competing in it, and that second goal has just sucked the air out of the place and now every touch from Villa feels like it could turn into another joke of a finish and i swear if they score another one the thread is going to fully melt down because this already feels over and people are acting like its a training session
 
Villa are forcing Freiburg wide and then hitting the space centrally which is why the chances are looking so clean the movement off the ball is doing a lot of the work here and once the shots start landing like this it becomes very hard to recover
 
bangers only fc has come to collect again and the whole place is just sat there like yeah fair enough mate take another one why not absolute robbery vibes for Freiburg if you ask me but also not really because theyre getting smoked by shot quality and vibes
 
Freiburg defenders are just watching the fireworks at this point and probably charging the admission fee too
 
nah i dont buy the whole this is just bad defending angle because villa have to make the right decisions and the right contact and the right finish and they are doing that every time so freiburg being loose does not explain away the quality here
