AC Milan clean house after shock boardroom purge

It is harsh, but the scale of the changes suggests they wanted a full reset rather than another half measure.

At least they have finally admitted that the problem was not going away on its own. The squad looked like it needed direction, the transfers looked inconsistent and the whole operation sounded like people pulling in different directions behind the scenes. But even saying that I still do not trust them to get the next bit right because this is Milan and they love making a huge dramatic mess before pretending it was all part of a plan and then somehow we are all supposed to believe the next appointment will magically fix everything when the same people keep circling back into the process and it just feels exhausting

If the sporting structure was broken, then changing the coach alone would have been pointless. The next hire has to fit a long-term plan, otherwise this is just another expensive reboot.

A measured point would be that Milan have at least identified the need for a reset rather than tinkering around the edges, but the thing that gets me is how every club that does this says the same words about long term planning and culture and project and then six months later they are sacking another bloke and blaming everyone else and I swear football clubs are basically just giant group chats where nobody listens and then someone sets the kitchen on fire and calls it ambition

I do not think this is automatically a disaster. If the old setup was not working, a full reset can be justified.

milan just love drama dont they one minute its all about a project and the next minute everyone is out the door like the club has been run by a bloke with a red button and no plan at all

this is either the start of something proper or a complete nightmare and knowing milan itll probably be both somehow
