Had something similar happen in the pub years ago when an old lad came in with his son and started talking about the player he used to watch and then some younger bloke at the bar realised he was the grandson of someone who had played against him and the whole room just went quiet for a second because that kind of thing makes you feel the weight of time in a proper weird way and this clip gives me that same vibe because it is not about the words exactly it is about the recognition and the family name and the fact that football can make strangers feel connected across decades and I know that sounds daft but it hits people because we all know our own version of it
