Chelsea fans can talk about Penders and future planning all they want but the reality is you are judged on what is happening right now and right now the keeper situation looks like a massive own goal because every time the debate comes up it is the same thing over and over again where people point at Sanchez and say this is not good enough and then someone else says wait for the project and then another person says the same thing about Martinez or Costa or whoever and honestly it feels like they are just spinning in circles while the rest of the league moves on and if they actually want to look serious they need to stop pretending this is fine

The argument is less about whether Sanchez is the only problem and more about whether he is the easiest problem to solve.
