Class from Balogun in the middle of a proper mess

the way some people are still trying to turn this into a big blame game is hilarious because the player actually went and had the conversation like an adult and that just ruins the narrative for the drama merchants doesnt it now theyve got to find another angle and pretend they knew better all along

not gonna lie if i was in his shoes id be fuming that my name got dragged into all this because one minute youre just trying to play football and next minute everyone is talking about you like youre the problem and thats got to be rough tbh

The key takeaway is that Balogun appears to have dealt with the situation maturely, which is often the hardest thing for a player to do when the spotlight gets ugly. Garcia’s comments also help separate the individual from the wider mess, and that distinction is important if people want to discuss the football rather than the circus around it.

nah i dont buy the idea that he should be praised for this like he was personally above it all because at the end of the day he still played in the situation and people are always going to talk about that whether we like it or not and saying it was all just some external mess does not really change how the whole thing looked
