Granada CF are firmly in the hunt for promotion and Fran Escribá’s attacking philosophy has been the main reason for their improvement since he took charge in September 2024. His side have won three of their last five LaLiga 2 matches and will be going for the win at home to Eibar on Monday. The last two LaLiga 2 meetings between the clubs have finished all square, but this is no ordinary fixture for either side as Granada are still in the promotion hunt while Eibar need to stay in the mix. Escribá’s team have been particularly good at Los Cármenes, where they have won nine, drawn seven and lost only three of their 19 home league games in LaLiga 2 2024-2025. They will set up in a 4-3-3 again here, playing with width and tempo in an attack-minded system that has seen them score 34 goals in 19 home league games.
Eibar are a sizeable 4.90 underdogs to win this game and that seems a bit much given Granada are only 1.80 favourites. A draw is available at 3.52 and that could be the best play for this match as there is little to separate the clubs in the head-to-head record. Benat San Jose’s side are a pragmatic unit, set up in a 4-2-3-1 or similar system that is compact at the back, disciplined in midfield and not overly expansive in build-up. They have drawn two of their last two away league games, but are still seeking their first road win. Eibar’s away defence has been solid enough to concede only 21 goals in the league this season, an average of 1.11 per fixture. But they couldn’t break down a very compact Tenerife side in a 1-1 draw and were then beaten 0-1 at home by CD Mirandes last time out.
Myrto Uzuni has been Granada’s most potent finisher this season with 14 goals in only 18 LaLiga 2 appearances, but he is unlikely to feature in this match. Lucas Boyé has stepped up to fill the void and his physical presence and aerial ability should be a threat to Eibar’s defence. Granada have been more intense in their pressing under Escribá and that could unsettle Eibar, who will be content to keep it tight and try to nick a goal. Backing the hosts to edge a close contest looks the best play here given Granada’s superior form and home record, but both teams to score could also be a strong alternative bet given the home side’s attacking firepower and Eibar’s knack for earning away draws. Granada’s creative midfielders Gonzalo Villar and Giorgi Tsitaishvili can be a handful in the middle of the park and out wide, but Jon Bautista is Eibar’s top scorer this season with 9 goals in 34 league matches. He has been clinical of late, scoring three of his side’s last five goals, so take him to score anytime on Monday.
