Palace win the Conference League

Glasner has clearly elevated Palace as a club. The result also fits the wider trend of English teams having a major edge in these competitions.
 
No i dont buy this idea that its somehow lesser because the competition name sounds smaller, if anything it just shows who can actually handle the pressure and Palace did that, the same people mocking it would be going mad if their own side had won it and they know it
 
Glasner deserves serious credit for this run, and Palace have clearly built something strong under him imo
 
At a basic level this is exactly why cup football still matters, because it gives clubs like Palace a chance to create a memory that lasts forever, and even if the competition is not the biggest one in Europe it is still a proper trophy and nobody can take that away from them, but then you look at the bigger picture and it just becomes another reminder that the money gap is doing weird things to European football and the rest of the continent is being squeezed out while Premier League sides keep hoovering up the trophies, which is why people get so annoyed about it, but honestly tonight belongs to Palace and their fans and if anyone wants to spend the evening arguing about prestige instead of celebrating that is their problem because this is exactly the sort of night clubs dream about and most never get, and if the same people try to dismiss it tomorrow then they are just being miserable for the sake of it and can absolutely get in the bin
 
Palace fans have every right to be absolutely over the moon because this is the sort of night you remember forever and the way Glasner has got them going after everything that has happened with players leaving is seriously impressive and people can sneer at the competition all they want but you still have to win it and that is never simple, not in Europe, not with pressure, not with everyone expecting the Premier League side to do it, and yes the money gap is real and yes the other leagues are struggling to keep up but that should make the achievement bigger not smaller, so fair play Palace, fair play Glasner, and fair play to every fan who gets to celebrate this because nights like this do not come around often and if someone wants to be a miserable little gatekeeper about the trophy then honestly they can do one
