J. Alvarez 112th minute stunner

people are acting like the ball teleported into the net but it was still a proper finish and thats the difference between a good player and a random shot from twenty yards, the pressure of the moment matters and he handled it better than anyone else would have

Everyone wants to make it sound like the other side just rolled over but that is not fair because the whole match had tension and they were hanging in there for ages and one moment of quality should not erase everything they did before it, sometimes you just have to accept that a team can defend well for long spells and still get punished by a brilliant strike and that does not mean they were rubbish or weak or whatever people are going to say now, it means the game was close and one player found a finish, that is football, and I am not having all this nonsense about the losing side being some joke because they absolutely were not

The spacing before the shot is the interesting part for me. Once the defender hesitates, he has just enough room to get the strike away, and at that point the keeper is basically reacting to a lost cause.
