Alternate angles of the J. Alvarez goal at 112' are doing the rounds and, honestly, it looks ridiculous from every single one. You can see why people are calling it unsaveable, because once he hits it there is basically nothing the keeper can do about it.

It is the sort of moment that gets replayed for years, especially when a goal lands that late and with that much quality. Not much else to say really, just pure scenes and a proper big-game finish.

What did everyone make of it then, because this feels like one of those goals that gets better every time you watch it.

People keep acting like it was some impossible magic trick but the real story is the way everyone switched off for a second and let him have the moment, if you give a good finisher that kind of space at 112 minutes then you are asking for trouble and thats on the defending side more than anything else

The officials were an absolute joke all game honestly every little thing felt like it was being dragged out and the stop start nonsense just killed any rhythm for both sides and then when a moment like that comes along you still get lads moaning about something else instead of just letting the football breathe, the referee seemed desperate to make it about himself and the assistants were no better, all that added time and faffing about and somehow the flow still got ruined, proper shambles from start to finish and you can see why everyone is wound up because it never feels like the game is allowed to just be the game anymore

The key thing is the timing as much as the technique. At 112 minutes, fatigue and pressure make every decision harder, so a clean strike like that is even more impressive.
