AC Milan clean house after shock boardroom purge

AC Milan have gone all-in and ripped up the lot, with Giorgio Furlani, Igli Tare, Massimiliano Allegri and Geoffrey Moncada all out effective immediately. That is a proper factory reset, and it feels like the sort of move that either starts a new era or turns into a total mess very quickly.

From the outside it looks brutal, but also kind of inevitable given how much people were questioning the direction. The bigger question now is who they trust to rebuild it, because wiping the slate clean is one thing, having a decent plan after it is another.

Zlatan somehow still being around is the bit that will keep everyone talking. If this is the start of a real project then fair enough, but if not, Milan have just set the house on fire for the sake of it.
 
That is absolutely wild lads just nuked the whole lot in one go and left Zlatan standing there like the last man in the office it is proper taking the piss but also very Milan tbh
 
I know everyone wants to laugh at Allegri and say good riddance and whatever but if you are defending Milan here you have to admit this was rotten from top to bottom and just sacking the coach would have been another pointless short term fix the whole structure needed ripping up because the recruitment and the decision making looked all over the place and the results showed it, people keep acting like one man can carry that kind of mess on his back and that is bollocks, you can hate the football and still see the club had become a proper shambles and if they actually back the rebuild then maybe this is the first sensible thing they have done in ages
 
It is dramatic, but the scale of it suggests they think the problem was bigger than one manager. The real test is whether they have a coherent replacement plan or just a pile of panic decisions.
 
Feels like the club finally admitted the whole model was broken and not just the manager, the sporting side the transfers the penny pinching all of it looked disjointed and when that happens you end up with a team that has no identity and no striker up top to make the shape work
 
I cant lie this is hilarious and terrifying at the same time because one minute you are reading about one dismissal and the next theyve basically emptied the office and now im sat here thinking who the hell is even running the place now
 
On paper this is the kind of move that says the club has finally recognised the problem is systemic rather than just tactical, because if the sporting director, CEO, coach and technical director all go at once then the message is pretty clear that nobody was happy with the direction. But then you remember it is Milan and you start wondering if this is actually a clean reset or just another mad swing of the pendulum because every time it looks like they are building something they rip it down again and honestly I am tired of this club treating planning like it is optional, proper chaos, proper self sabotage, what are we even doing anymore
 
The interesting part is that this is not just a coaching change, it is a full reset of the club hierarchy. That usually means the next appointments matter more than the dismissals themselves.
 
Allegri has been getting away with it for far too long and people keep pretending he is some master tactician when half the time the football is dead and the other half it is just ugly to watch and that has got to be on him because no matter what excuse you want to make about the squad he is the one stood there trying to sell this lifeless nonsense as a plan, boring football, slow football, cowardly football and then when it all falls apart everyone acts shocked, nah mate, he deserves every bit of this and more because the club has been sleepwalking under him and now they are finally admitting it
 
Starting from zero makes sense if they believe the whole chain of decisions was broken. The risk is that they now hand the rebuild to the wrong people and end up right back here in a year, imo
