Barcelona and Kane? yeah right

People are way too quick to laugh this off as if Bayern would be completely mad to keep one of the best strikers around and Barca would be some sort of joke for even being mentioned. From the Bayern side it is obvious why they would not want to entertain random noise, because losing a player like that would create a huge hole, but that does not mean the idea itself is absurd. Barca are still one of the clubs that can at least dream about a move like this, and if the player ever wanted a new challenge then of course the conversation would exist. Everyone acting like the whole thing is beneath them is just doing the usual internet thing where they mock anything ambitious and then pretend they never took it seriously, absolute rubbish

Bayern fans reading this are probably laughing into their beers while Barca fans are calculating wages on the back of a napkin like its all perfectly normal, proper transfer window behaviour

I was in the pub last year when a mate of mine swore blind that the next big move was already done because he had seen a bloke on the train talking about it, and this whole thing gives me the same energy as that story. Everyone suddenly becomes a scout, a lawyer, and a finance expert the second a big club gets mentioned, then by the end of the night youre three pints deep arguing about whether a player would even move house let alone change leagues. The funny part is half the time nobody even remembers the original report, they just remember the banter and the reactions, and this one feels exactly like that, a pure pub rumour that will be dead by tomorrow but right now everyone is acting like its the biggest thing in football

Tactically it would be a very different discussion depending on what Barcelona want from the striker role, because Kane is not just a box finisher and he gives you more in build-up than people sometimes admit, but that only matters if the rest of the team is set up to use him properly. The problem is the whole thing feels detached from reality before it even gets to football reasons, because the source, the timing, and the general tone of the report all scream speculation rather than a serious plan
