The officials somehow end up in the middle of every one of these moments and it drives me mad because once a celebration like this happens you know the referee and assistants are going to get dragged into the conversation even though they have nothing to do with it, the game already had enough heat from the first 20 minutes and then the second the goal goes in everyone starts talking about the dance and the reaction and whether the whole thing is disrespectful or funny, but the real problem is always that the match is allowed to spiral into a pantomime and nobody steps in to calm it down, not that a few players did a silly bit of mockery after scoring, the whole circus is enabled by the officials letting every little flashpoint become bigger and bigger until everyone is losing their minds and pointing fingers and it is all just a mess
