I dont buy the idea that hes the whole problem though the fans are clearly part of the mess too and theyve been going at everyone for ages so acting like its all on him is just lazy
 
From a tactical point of view, the bigger issue is probably how he is being used and whether the squad is actually built around him. If a player is arriving with huge expectations and the role is unclear, the crowd will always get restless quickly. That does not make the reaction pretty, but it does explain why the situation is so combustible.
 
This is exactly what happens when a club builds the whole thing around hype and ego and then acts shocked when the atmosphere turns poisonous because the fans can smell uncertainty a mile off and once they start going it just snowballs and then every touch is a judgement and every substitution becomes a statement and you end up with a stadium full of people making their feelings heard instead of actually backing the team and honestly that whole place sounds like it is one bad result away from total meltdown
 
I know everyone wants to laugh at Madrid here but if you are a supporter inside that ground you are also watching a team under insane pressure and a player who has been thrown into a ridiculous spotlight and the fans are not exactly wrong to expect more when the standards are that high, you cannot just pretend every whistle is some evil act, sometimes it is frustration and fear and years of expectation all coming out at once and maybe the reaction is ugly but it is not as simple as everyone making out and people acting like the club should be some happy clapping charity case are just clueless honestly
 
Mbappe gets treated like a saviour on one side and a problem on the other and it is all over the place and the funny thing is everyone keeps talking about him like he is the only issue when the whole setup around him looks a mess, the usage, the pressure, the constant noise, and then you get these stadium reactions that just pour petrol on it, and if he is feeling it then of course he is going to look tighter and more annoyed and then people will say see he has an attitude, it is a never ending loop and it is driving me mad
 
The key point is that the reaction is not happening in isolation. It reflects a wider disconnect between expectation and performance, which is what makes the whole situation so volatile.
 
real fans are so quick to turn on anyone when things go wrong its like they cant wait to find a scapegoat and then act like its all part of the culture
 
i actually felt a bit sick seeing that because you know how much pressure there is there and once the crowd turns it feels like the whole thing is already broken
 
The tactical issue is that if hes being used in a role that doesnt suit him then the crowd will never give him time to settle and every mistake will get magnified. Once the stadium starts whistling it kills rhythm and then the whole side starts playing tighter and flatter

But honestly once you start looking at the whole Madrid ecosystem it becomes this ridiculous theatre where every week someone is either the hero or the villain and the commentary around it is somehow even louder than the football, which is saying something because the football already sounds like a soap opera, and then you end up with pundits, fans and rivals all trying to outdo each other with the hottest take possible while the actual team is just trying not to implode
