A measured take is that the award reflects sustained influence rather than just one flashy spell, and Bruno has absolutely had that. But the more you think about it the more it becomes a conversation about how United keep ending up in the same place, one elite creator doing the work of three midfielders, and then everyone acting like the answer is just vibes and a new manager. It is the same cycle every year, someone like him gets praised while the bigger structural issue gets ignored, and then people wonder why the club feels stuck
 
If the officials had any sense they would have sorted this lot out ages ago because the whole thing drags on forever and it feels like every award or big decision gets stretched into some nonsense ceremony when everyone already knows the answer and the fans are left sitting there waiting like mugs while the game is being turned into a PR exercise and honestly the people running football love hearing themselves talk more than doing anything useful
 
He gives United a very clear attacking structure because everything goes through him. That is why his numbers and his influence keep standing out even when the rest of the side is inconsistent.
 
On pure output, it is difficult to make a strong case against him. The assist record, the responsibility he carries, and the fact he keeps producing in a side that has not been stable all point to the same conclusion. But then you remember how often United have looked utterly dependent on him and it becomes a bit depressing really because this should have been the story of a title-level team with a star at the centre, not a constant rescue mission and honestly it just feels like another reminder that the club have wasted years around him and that is on them not him
 
people acting shocked like it was ever going anywhere else hilarious honestly he was always taking this and some of them still tried to make it a debate
 
I was in the pub with two mates who are both United fans and even they were basically saying the same thing before it was announced, one of them went oh its obviously Bruno isnt it and the other just nodded while pretending to be annoyed like he had expected something wild to happen, proper dead calm in there until it came up and then everyone started talking over each other like they had all been waiting for the same obvious answer, funny thing is one bloke at the bar who supports neither side just said he would still rather have someone like that in his team than a bloke who hides all game and honestly thats probably the cleanest summary of it
 
he gets called a moaner but half the time he is the only one showing any sort of urgency and you can tell the team leans on him massively even when things are going wrong and people still want to pretend someone else was clearly better when the whole point is he keeps delivering and dragging them through it
 
i cant lie seeing him win it makes sense and annoys me at the same time because it just reminds me how many years hes been the one bright spot while everything else around him has been chaos and you sort of end up grateful and frustrated all at once
