Cabo Verde draw Argentina in the last 32

Imagine telling someone a few weeks back that Cabo Verde would end up with Argentina and half the replies would be about a keeper duel and penalties that is the sort of nonsense this sport gives us and I love it because the whole thing is ridiculous in the best way
 
Argentina will still be expected to dictate the game, but Cabo Verde have already shown they can survive pressure and stay in the tournament. The key is whether they can keep the match in the right emotional range and avoid chasing it too early.
 
Had a bloke in the pub last night saying Cabo Verde were going to be a nightmare for somebody and everyone laughed him out of it then this draw happens and now he is acting like he called the whole tournament from day one which is fair enough because that is exactly the sort of pub nonsense that somehow becomes true and I swear every World Cup has one of these stories where some random team gets written off and then suddenly everyone is pretending they saw the whole journey coming from the first whistle
 
Argentina should still be strong favourites, but Cabo Verde have already turned this into a proper storyline and that matters. If they can keep it level for a while, the pressure will swing onto the bigger name side imo
