The officials are going to be under so much pressure in a game like this because everyone will be watching every little decision and the moment Cabo Verde get one foul or one penalty shout people will lose their heads and start acting like the whole tournament is corrupt and Argentina get every call and the ref is this and the linesman is that and honestly it is already annoying just thinking about it because you know the discourse is going to be unbearable before the match even starts
 
The sensible take is that Argentina should have enough quality to win this comfortably if they play to their level, but the whole point of a World Cup is that the underdog sometimes drags the favourite into a weird game and then all the pressure gets transferred onto the side expected to cruise. And once that happens people start overreacting about everything, the keeper becomes a legend, the striker becomes finished, the coach becomes a genius, and somehow a simple knockout tie turns into a month long argument about mentality and legacy and all the rest of it

Honestly this kind of draw is why I stay up for tournament football because you get one line on a screen and suddenly you are imagining the whole match in your head and Cabo Verde against Argentina just feels massive even before a ball is kicked and I know most people will expect the obvious result but that does not stop the nerves and the buzz and the weird hope that something ridiculous might happen
 
Argentina are clearly the stronger side on paper, but Cabo Verde have already shown they can handle pressure and earn their place in the knockout stage. If they keep it tight and avoid giving away cheap chances, there is at least a path to making this uncomfortable for the favourites.
