City charges dragging on forever

its mad how long this has dragged on and every time someone says soon it just makes it worse because nobody believes it anymore and the whole thing feels like itll be decided by whoever has the best lawyers not the actual facts
 
I get why people are angry, but pretending City should already have been hammered is not really how serious cases work. If the evidence is complicated then the process takes time, and if they rush it and get it wrong everyone will complain about that too. The idea that the delay alone proves a cover up is just lazy and ignores how messy legal disputes can be when they involve this much money and so many people, and honestly some of the takes in here are just pure wishful thinking from rivals who want a headline more than a proper decision
 
The delay makes it harder to believe that any outcome will feel decisive. If the eventual punishment is light, people will say the league wasted years to arrive at something obvious; if it is severe, people will ask why it took so long to get there.
 
It is genuinely staggering how much time has passed without a proper conclusion and the more you think about it the more absurd it gets because football moves so fast in every other respect and yet this one thing just sits there like a black hole swallowing every update and every bit of patience and every shred of trust people had left and now even the funny numbers are not funny anymore they are just depressing because everyone knows the eventual answer will be argued over forever and if it is anything soft then the whole thing becomes a complete embarrassment for the league and if it is harsh then everybody will ask why it took this long in the first place and honestly I am just sick of the whole bloody circus
 
this has been going on so long ive changed jobs twice and its still not done and every time i see another update i just laugh because what else can you do at this point
 
I do not think the delay automatically means a cover up. It could just mean the case is complicated and nobody wants to get it wrong.
