German fans in here acting like this is some random blip when the whole thing has been a mess from start to finish no tempo no creativity and the back line looks like it was assembled in the pub after last orders absolutely embarrassing
 
I was in the pub watching this and the whole place just went mad when it went in because even the lads who dont care about Germany or Ecuador knew it was coming, one bloke had been moaning for ten minutes that Germany were standing off too much and another one kept saying Neuer looked proper uncomfortable every time the ball went near him, then the goal goes in and everyone starts shouting deserved before going back to their pints like nothing happened, honestly this is the sort of football moment that turns a normal night into a story you keep retelling for weeks
 
Watching the thread go from confidence to full meltdown has been hilarious tbh because every comment seems to be another version of we are shit and honestly it feels like nobody can even argue with it anymore after that
 
The officials have been a joke in games like this for years and you can tell when the whole rhythm gets ruined because every little thing gets broken up, players lose patience, the crowd gets on edge and then people act shocked when the match turns into chaos, I am not saying the result is down to that alone because Germany have clearly been poor from the comments here, but the refereeing standard around these moments always seems to make everything ten times messier than it needs to be and nobody ever seems to get a grip of it
 
People are way too quick to pile on Germany here and act like Ecuador are only scoring because of incompetence, when in reality they have worked hard, stayed compact and kept asking questions until the moment came, and that matters. Germany might be having a bad one, sure, but some of the replies are talking like they are some Sunday league side when they are still trying to play and still trying to respond, so maybe give Ecuador the credit without turning it into a total funeral for the other lot

Germany fans in the mud and the neutral lads are eating good tonight because this thread has gone from nervous to taking the piss in about two minutes flat
