honestly the whole thing is peak football nonsense because one minute he is on holiday and at a wedding and the next minute he is trying to get a passport moved across cities and his wife is buying clothes and everyone is acting like this is some normal day at the office, it is wild, and people saying he should have been prepared are missing that he clearly thought he was done and had mentally moved on so why would he have everything packed, that is not how real life works, and if anything it makes the call-up even better because it is the sort of story that you tell forever, not some tidy planned thing where he was waiting by the door with a suitcase, absolute madness and i love it
