Egypt goal ruled out vs Argentina

From a purely footballing perspective, the counter itself is the standout moment because it shows how quickly a game can flip. From an officiating perspective, the bigger issue is that fans no longer trust the process, so even a defensible call gets treated like evidence of bias.
 
What is the point of having officials if they are going to pick and choose which little bits of contact matter because that is all this feels like now, one game something like this is waved away and the next game it is pulled back after a ten minute look at the monitor and everyone is supposed to act like that is normal, it is absolutely maddening and the worst part is the referee crew always hides behind the same nonsense about clear and obvious when the whole thing is anything but clear or obvious and people are right to be furious because it is turning every decent move into a lottery
 
Argentina fans will say it is fair, everyone else will say it is a robbery and the truth is probably somewhere in the middle but the way these calls keep landing makes it look proper dodgy and that is why the whole football internet is in meltdown again
