Embolo tears after the red

I actually want to defend the side that gets dragged through the mud in moments like this because everyone focuses on the one player and forgets the rest of the team who did their jobs and now have to live with the fallout, and yes the dive was bad and yes the booking was deserved, but the whole thing becomes a pile on very quickly and that is why I hate the instant mockery because one stupid decision does not erase everything else that happened before it, these lads are under massive pressure and sometimes they crack and make a terrible call and it costs them and then the internet turns it into a punchline and acts like that is somehow football wisdom when really it is just cruelty dressed up as banter

I am sick of seeing players like this think they can sell a foul every five minutes and get away with it because it ruins the flow of the game and makes everyone else look at football like it is a con, Embolo went down in a way that made the outcome obvious and then he has the nerve to cry about it after, well maybe dont put yourself in that position in the first place, maybe stay on your feet, maybe remember you are already booked, maybe stop making the sport look like a theatre production because every time someone gets rewarded for that nonsense it encourages the next lad to do the same and then we all have to watch this crap again

The sensible view is that the second yellow was justified because he manufactured the contact and put himself in a position where the referee had no real choice. But what keeps making me laugh is how quickly these incidents become folklore, because one second you are talking about discipline and the next everyone is comparing it to the wildest dives they have ever seen and acting like they have been waiting years for a new meme, football is weird like that and the internet makes it even weirder, I swear half the people watching are more interested in the clip than the match and that probably says more about us than it does about him

honestly the whole thing is just a reminder that one dumb decision can flip everything on its head and he knew he was on a yellow and still went for it which makes the tears feel even more pointless because the damage was already done and now people will remember the dive more than anything else and thats on him
