There is a proper football conversation to be had here about why certain players look better in specific roles, and Ferran is a good example of that because the comments suggest he thrives when the game comes to him rather than when he has to force it. But the internet is never going to leave it there, is it, now it becomes memes and mockery and people acting like one goal proves everything or nothing and honestly it is just exhausting, because the actual performance gets lost under all the noise and then everyone starts shouting over each other like the result itself was some personal insult
 
The interesting part is not even the goal itself, it is the way PSG seem to keep finding these moments where a player gets a new lease of life and the whole fanbase goes from doubt to hype in seconds. Ferran has clearly built a reputation for these bursts, and that makes the reaction understandable, but the emotional swing in the comments is wild, because one minute he is a joke and the next he is being talked about like he is some unstoppable force, and then it all turns into Barca banter and shark memes and the actual football disappears into the abyss of online nonsense, which is exactly why these threads are both brilliant and unbearable at the same time
