Well, that was properly ridiculous. A third-place game somehow turns into a ten-goal chaos fest and Jude Bellingham pops up with a late one to make it even more unhinged.

You just do not expect this sort of thing from a bronze medal match. Fair play to anyone who stuck with it, because it was miles more entertaining than the usual cagey nonsense.

Now the only question is whether anyone can top this today, because that felt like pure football chaos from start to finish.
 
England and France just went full chaos mode here didnt they, no one was defending properly and every attack looked like it could end in a goal, third place or not that was proper entertainment and the late finish just summed it up
 
This game was a total outlier for a third-place match. It had the feel of both teams just going for it rather than protecting anything, which made the whole thing brilliant to watch.
 
I cannot believe a bronze medal game turned into that sort of night, honestly it felt like every time one side got a bit of control the other just hit back immediately and the whole thing never settled. Jude Bellingham finishing it late was the perfect bit of chaos at the end, and I know people will say it is only the third-place match, but come on, that was proper box office football. The defending was all over the place, the game kept swinging, and it had that weird energy where you stop caring about structure and just enjoy the madness. Absolutely mental, and I am still laughing at how open it got ffs
 
From a tactical point of view, this was basically the opposite of a cagey final. Both sides kept finding space, transitions were constant, and nobody looked interested in slowing it down for long. Then it just descended into pure mayhem and I loved every second of it, what a ridiculous game, what a ridiculous sport, why cant every match be like this, why do we have to sit through 90 minutes of sideways passing when you can get absolute carnage instead, this is football at its most stupid and most brilliant at the same time
 
i was ready to switch off after the first bit of chaos and then it just kept getting more ridiculous and more ridiculous, every time i looked back there was another goal or another huge moment and i was just sat there laughing like an idiot, third place or not that was brilliant
 
nah i dont care if its only third place this was still massive entertainment and the people saying it doesnt matter are missing the point, football is supposed to make you feel something and this absolutely did that
 
Honestly this is why I still watch these games because sometimes you get a proper nonsense match like this and it just reminds you how stupid and brilliant football can be at the same time, nobody had any interest in sitting back, every attack looked like it could turn into something, and once it opened up it was just relentless, goals flying in, people losing their minds, and then Jude Bellingham shows up at the end like he owns the place, absolute scenes everywhere, third place, bronze, whatever you want to call it, it was still one of those nights where you just stare at the screen and think what the actual hell is going on
