You can start this game by saying it is a great watch and that would be true because it absolutely is, but then it gets to the point where you realise the reason it is such a great watch is because nobody is really controlling it and every attack feels like it might end in something stupid or brilliant and sometimes both at once, Chelsea are getting the better of the moments because Palmer is finding the gaps and the movement around him is sharper, Fulham are still dangerous but they are also making life harder for themselves by being too open and too easy to pull around, and then Lacroix pops up doing something nobody expected and the whole thing becomes even more ridiculous, and I am trying to stay calm about it but honestly this is the sort of match that has you pacing around the room because one second you think you understand it and the next second the whole pattern changes and you are just sat there laughing and swearing at the same time because football can be brilliant and infuriating in the same breath
