Idrissa Gueye red card for slapping Keane… what are we watching?

Also low key horrible time to do it from a schedule point of view. Busy period, vital points, and now you miss three matches because you could not control yourself for ten seconds.

The memes of ‘Idrissa Gueye vs Everton vs Manchester United’ have me crying 😂 genuinely one of the funniest title bars I have seen in ages.

End of the day he has probably cost himself more in fines, appearance bonuses and reputation than any of us will ever put on a single bet. Sometimes the biggest gamble in football is just keeping your head.

Everton board looking at this plus his previous stuff and thinking that contract termination button has never looked so shiny. clubs love a reason to get an expensive veteran off the books.

IF ANY OF OUR BOYS DID THIS IN A TITLE RUN WE WOULD BE TALKING ABOUT IT FOR 20 YEARS. EVERTON FANS WILL MAKE MEMES BUT THEY WILL NOT FORGET.

kinda curious what the dressing room chat actually was. did someone step in and tell them to shut it until tomorrow or was it ten minutes of awkward silence and boots being thrown at lockers.

keane absolutely starts it with the shove but you do not get to respond with a slap and act shocked at the red. basic anger management init.

Refs are clowns plenty of times but this one is on gueye. you can shout, you can sulk, you can wave your arms. once you go for the face you are cooked.

some of the takes about ‘passion’ here are wild too. passion is tracking your runner in the 90th, not throwing a slap at your centre back because a shot went wide on twelve minutes. lads confuse tantrums with competitiveness.

still laughing that united had 80 minutes against ten and looked like the ones a man down. that club is cooked.

give it a month and some random cup tie in holland will top this with two teammates both seeing red after a scrap and everyone will be posting this clip again saying ‘walked so they could run’ 😅

from a betting point it is also a reminder to never feel too safe on a prem favourite just because they get an early gift. these teams can still find insane ways to throw it away.

I wonder how long before managers start putting ‘no hands to the head even in arguments’ into internal codes with fines attached. clubs will want to protect themselves from exactly this kind of nonsense.

If nothing else he has given us an all time meme red card. still would not want to be him walking into Finch Farm this week though 😂

For me it is simple. Red is correct, behaviour is unacceptable and Everton deserve credit for still winning in spite of it. The rest is just noise and jokes, which the internet will provide forever anyway.

thread summary: clear red, united still rubbish, bowyer and dyer still the undisputed kings of friendly fire. move on lads.
