Leao only wants Gala?

Bit of a strange one this if it turns out true. Turning down Aston Villa and Al Hilal, then saying Turkey is the only move, is not exactly the career path most people expected for Rafael Leão.

It feels like one of those stories that says a lot about a player without needing much explanation. Maybe it is about money, maybe it is about comfort, maybe he just does not fancy serious football right now. Either way, if Milan are really being told it is Gala or stay, that is a proper storyline.

Also mad to think how quickly these things can change. A few years ago people would have had him pegged for a huge move, and now the whole thing has a very different vibe. What do people make of it?

Saw this and instantly thought of a lad in my local who used to say he was going to leave for a massive job then ended up taking the easiest option because he fancied the money and a quieter life, proper same energy here if you ask me, everyone on the sofa was laughing because one minute he is linked with all these big moves and the next minute he only wants Turkey, it is like when you see someone in the pub bragging all night about making a change and then by last orders they are still on the same stool ordering another pint and talking bollocks, honestly footballers do this all the time and people act shocked but half of them just want the best contract and the least hassle and that is probably what this is

It is a big statement about what he wants at this stage of his career. Some players chase the biggest league, others chase the best deal and the easiest environment, and this looks like the second category. That does not make him unique, just honest about his priorities.

imagine begging for big league moves for years then seeing villa come in and he just goes nah mate only gala please, absolute elite aura loss for the lad, proper taking the piss out of everyone who thought he was about to level up

Leao really said not today Premier League merchant and dipped straight to the Turkey option, football is a funny game honestly, one minute you are being talked up like a superstar and the next you are picking vibes over ambition

i mean fair enough if he wants the easy life but people acting like this is some deep betrayal are hilarious, players choose money and comfort all the time and then fans act personally offended when they dont pick their club
