honestly this is the sort of thing that makes derby football feel alive because you can almost smell the tension through the screen and every little detail just adds to it the horses the police the crowd the fact that everyone knows this is not going to be a normal day and then people act shocked when it gets messy like what did you expect when you turn a rivalry into a pressure cooker and stick it in front of a packed ground
 
this is exactly the kind of derby content that makes casual fans think football in germany is all organised chaos and lads in the stands losing their minds and honestly they are not exactly wrong here, absolute scenes and i love it
 
i was once at a game where the police had the whole station locked down before kickoff and everyone in the pub was acting like it was the most normal thing in the world, one old boy even said he had seen worse at a sunday league cup tie and i believed him because football people will normalise anything if they have enough pints in them, so when i see a derby like this with horses and all the rest of it i just think yeah that checks out, that is exactly the sort of madness people will still be telling stories about years later
 
this is why ppl love derby day because its messy and loud and proper and nobody cares about neat little narratives when the whole thing is just pure chaos and tension
