There is a real pattern here though, and I do not think it is fair to pretend it is all made up just because the source is messy. When a player arrives with that much hype and that much leverage, people around the club start adjusting to him instead of the other way around, and then the first time there is friction it becomes a huge issue because nobody is sure who actually has the authority to say enough is enough. That is why this feels bigger than a late meal or a training complaint. It is about whether Madrid have built a structure where one player can drift away from everyone else and still expect the whole place to orbit around him, and if so then they have created the problem themselves, because once the dressing room starts to split into camps and people are whispering about attitude then good luck fixing that with a quick statement and a smile for the cameras, it never works and it just gets uglier and uglier
