Messi on Yamal: absolute class

People are really acting like the baby photo was some supernatural sign from the universe and honestly it is getting a bit much because football fans love turning every decent moment into either destiny or banter and there is never any middle ground anymore, but the actual quote from Messi was brilliant and respectful and probably means a lot to Yamal, who has to deal with enough pressure already without everyone turning him into the chosen one every five minutes

It is easy to get carried away by the photo, but the better part is how Messi framed Yamal as someone he genuinely rates. That makes the moment feel less like a gimmick and more like a proper passing of respect between two elite players.

There is also a tactical angle to it in the sense that Messi is clearly aware of the level Yamal has reached, not just the hype around him. That kind of praise matters because it comes from someone who understands what top-level talent actually looks like, and it gives the whole story more weight.

The thing that annoys me most is how every time Yamal is mentioned people go straight into this overblown nonsense about him being the next this or the next that and it is not even fair on the lad because he is clearly a special player but the pressure and the constant noise around him is ridiculous and Messi talking about him like this should have been a nice, steady moment of respect instead of another excuse for people to overstate everything, and if I am being honest some of the comments about him are already getting on my nerves because one good quote and suddenly everyone is acting like he has already done everything in the game when he hasnt and he should be allowed to just keep playing football without every sentence becoming a headline and every clip turning into some massive myth, it is exhausting and it makes you want to scream because the boy is still young and people need to stop putting the world on his shoulders like he owes them a fairytale ending
