He should not be doing that to the captain, simple as that. If you want to be respected at a club like Chelsea you have to earn it with effort as well as talent, and when the camera catches you waving people away after being asked to do the basics it just looks childish. Maybe it is nothing in the grand scheme, maybe the lads laugh about it later, but in the moment it makes him look like he thinks the rules do not apply to him and that sort of thing spreads if nobody checks it
 
Reminds me of a night down the pub years ago when one lad was playing five-a-side and kept refusing to track back because he said the others were not passing to him enough, then he got shouted at and started doing the same sort of sulky waving off with his hands and everyone spent the rest of the night taking the piss out of him, he was still talking about his touch and his movement while we were all just saying mate if you want the ball you have to help the team, same energy here really just on a much bigger stage and with a lot more people pretending they would handle it better than they would
 
It is a poor look, but I would not read too much into one exchange. Competitive teams often have sharp words in the middle of matches, and the real test is how the dressing room responds afterward.
 
i was watching and just thought mate why are you making this worse for yourself, if the captain is already on your back the last thing you need is to start waving him away like that and then suddenly everybody is clipped up about your attitude
 
The bigger issue is whether Chelsea can keep their shape when the ball turns over. If players are already arguing about tracking runs, the structure behind them probably needs work.
