Paraguay knock out Germany on pens

Germany losing on penalties is the kind of thing that feels almost scripted at this point because the pressure always seems to find them when it matters most. Paraguay did not need to be flashy, they just needed to stay alive and make the moments count, and that is exactly what they did, and now everyone is going to talk about Germany again for all the wrong reasons and honestly fair enough because that was a brutal way to go out, just awful, just so so bad and you could see the nerves from miles away
 
I was in the pub when the shootout started and the whole place went dead quiet like someone had switched the lights off, even the lads who didnt care about either team were stood there with their pints half raised just waiting for someone to miss, then when Germany finally folded there was this massive groan and one bloke near the bar just shouted absolute scenes and nearly dropped his chips, proper hilarious night honestly because everyone had been giving it the big one about Germany all evening and then Paraguay just dragged them under and left the whole room in bits
 
paraguay were never gonna just roll over and germany looked like they expected them to so when it went to pens it felt like the pressure was all on the bigger name and that usually ends badly
