⚽ Brazil vs Japan
✅ Brazil to Win @1.75

good bounce back yesterday. we keep the same energy and stay with the numbers. canada needed every minute but eustaquio finally broke south africa down in stoppage time to send the canucks into the last 16, clean step on the ladder.

going with the stronger side here. brazil come into the round of 32 with serious attacking firepower, scoring 24 goals in their last ten matches at 2.4 per game. that is the kind of output that breaks down most defences eventually, especially at this stage.

their recent form is also lined up. brazil have won three of their last five including a 3-0 away victory, with a +13 goal difference at 1.3 per match across the run. that mix of attacking quality and consistency is exactly what you want backing the favourites in a knockout fixture.

japan have been organised but they will have to deal with a brazil side that simply has more depth and end product. with vinícius, raphinha and the rest of the attack ready to deliver and ancelotti having the squad clicking into knockout mode, the home win is the cleanest read. at 1.75 the price is nice for the favourites.

see y'all tomorrow for the next step.

⚽ France vs Sweden
✅ Jules Kounde to Commit 1+ Fouls @1.64

good bounce back yesterday. we keep the same energy and stay with the numbers. brazil needed every second but martinelli came up with the winner in the 96th to send the selecao through 2-1 over japan, casemiro had levelled with a powerful header in the second half.

going with a sharp value angle here. kounde has committed a foul in two of his three world cup matches so far, and the matchup gives him every chance to add another. sweden will look to attack the wide areas where france are weakest, and that means his direct opponent is going to get plenty of joy out wide.

gabriel gudmundsson is the player on that flank and his foul drawing record is serious. he has been fouled in each of his three world cup games, drawing 3+ fouls in two of them, and he averaged 1.91 fouls drawn per 90 across 31 starts in the 25/26 leeds campaign. that consistency is hard to ignore.

kounde himself averaged 0.92 fouls committed per 90 for barcelona last season and with gyokeres, elanga, isak and gudmundsson all capable in wide channels, he is going to be tested constantly. at 1.64 the price is nice for a market where he is as short as 1.25 with other books.

see y'all tomorrow for the next step.
