Sabah snatch it late to level the tie

People saying this is just a random qualifier are missing the whole point because these are the exact games that make football feel alive, one late strike and suddenly every fan in the stadium and every person watching on a phone is losing their mind, and you can talk tactics all you want but the emotional swing is the real story here, Sabah looked dead and buried and then they just kept going, kept throwing bodies forward, kept believing in the moment, and Hapoel just couldnt handle the final pressure, they dropped too deep, they stopped clearing it properly, and the whole thing turned into panic, and honestly that is what makes it so good because you can never fully trust a lead in these games and you can never trust the clock either

The key detail is the timing, not just the finish. Once a side scores that late, the psychological damage is almost as important as the aggregate score.

I was in the pub with a mate and we had this on in the corner because someone said it might get interesting near the end, and we were half watching while talking nonsense, then all of a sudden everyone at the bar starts looking up because the reaction from the stream was going mad, and next thing you know the whole place is shouting at the screen because somebody has buried a ridiculous late one and the tie is level again, proper pub football moment that, no one even cared who was supposed to be winning before that because the last minute drama took over and now I am sat here thinking that is exactly why I never fully switch off even when the game looks dead

Sabah deserve a lot of credit for the way they stayed in the game and kept the belief right until the final whistle. A late equaliser on aggregate like that usually comes from persistence as much as quality, and it clearly rattled Hapoel tbh

Nah i dont buy the idea that Hapoel just got unlucky here they had chances to manage the end of the game and they didnt do it, once you let a side stay alive that long you are asking for trouble and that is exactly what happened

The officials absolutely have to answer for how these late moments get handled because the game just turns into chaos and nobody seems to know what is going on, one minute there is added time and then suddenly the whole thing is over and you are left wondering how the clock even got there in the first place, and I am not even saying Sabah did not deserve the goal because they clearly did, but the way these matches are allowed to drift into total madness just feels off, there is always some stoppage, some delay, some random bit of nonsense and then everybody acts surprised when a side gets a chance in the last seconds, it is a joke really and the refs just let it all build up until somebody gets punished
