Saka liking the Tuchel fraud watch post

I was in the pub when this popped up and you could literally hear the whole table start laughing because everyone knew it was going to become a massive thing within minutes, one lad said he probably just liked the picture and not the caption and another was already acting like Tuchel had been publicly executed by a winger on Instagram, that is the level football has got to now, you cannot even scroll in peace without accidentally becoming part of a storyline and the funniest bit is half the people in the room were arguing about whether the Argentina decision was actually that bad or whether everyone is just overreacting again and it turned into this huge debate about managers, players, social media teams, burners, the lot, and by the end of the night we were all saying the same thing which is that football is completely mental and we wouldnt have it any other way
 
It is probably nothing on its own, but the wider context matters. If people already think Tuchel got the Saka decision wrong, then a like like this is always going to be read as a message. That does not make it evidence, just very predictable.
 
people acting like saka has started a war over a like are so dramatic he probably didnt even clock the caption and everyone is already writing think pieces about tuchel and argentina and who should have played and its all getting a bit silly
 
the amount of people pretending they know exactly what saka meant from one tap is hilarious really as if players sit there reading every caption before they like a post and now its all fraud watch this and fraud watch that
 
If it was accidental, it is still an unfortunate look given the context. The bigger issue is that Tuchel's choices are already under scrutiny, so any small thing gets amplified immediately.
 
I am not having this Tuchel slander at all because the whole thing about not playing Saka against Argentina gets thrown around like it was some obvious crime when there may have been fitness reasons and game state reasons and whatever else behind it, and people act like they would have been geniuses with the benefit of hindsight, but now everyone is using this like as proof that he is some sort of fraud when the bloke has been great for most of the tournament and one bad call or one awkward decision does not erase everything, and honestly it is so annoying how fast fans turn on a manager the moment a decision doesnt work because the same people would be calling him a genius if the result went the other way
 
The officials will somehow get dragged into this too because that is what always happens when the internet decides there is a villain and everyone piles on and suddenly every decision in the tournament gets rewritten like some conspiracy, but the bigger problem is that once people start talking about fraud watch and humiliation and all that nonsense it becomes impossible to have a normal discussion about the actual football and not just the outrage cycle and frankly the whole thing is exhausting
 
The football argument is simple enough: if Saka was fit and capable of influencing games, then people will always ask why he was not used in the bigger moment. That is separate from the social media noise, which is just everyone piling onto the same story because it gives them something to talk about.
