Salah still doing Salah things

The interesting part is not even the goal itself, it is how the whole football world has trained itself to expect this from him and then still acts surprised every single time. That says a lot about how elite attackers are judged, because consistency becomes invisible until it is gone. Salah has spent years making the difficult look routine, and then people wonder why his name keeps coming up in every conversation about top forwards, but honestly the bigger issue is the way fans need everything to become a narrative immediately, one touch and suddenly its legacy talk, one goal and suddenly its transfer talk, and I am not even saying that to be clever it just gets exhausting after a while because sometimes a player is simply very very good and that should be enough, yet people on here will still twist it into a debate about clubs, leagues, and who is supposedly clear of who, which is why football discussion can be brilliant and unbearable at the same time
 
Honestly this just made me smile, proper classic Salah moment and it takes me back to all the times he has done this sort of thing before, you just know it is coming and yet it still feels massive every time
 
Was in the pub when I saw the clip and the whole table just laughed because of course it was him again, same lad who always seems to pop up at the exact right moment and everyone starts doing the king mo routine like it is a national holiday, I swear football has got to the point where a Salah goal is basically part of the calendar now and half the room were talking about Liverpool and the other half were acting like they had personally discovered him, one bloke even said he should have stayed where he was and another was on about opening weekends and I was just there with my pint thinking yeah alright calm down he has only just scored and already the chat is all over the place, but thats football isnt it everyone wants to turn one moment into a whole evening and somehow Salah always ends up being the centre of it
 
I dont care how many people want to say hes still class or hes still got it or whatever, the bigger point is that this isnt even about the goal anymore its about the fact that some lads on here will never stop acting like every touch he has is magic and every finish is some spiritual experience, its embarrassing honestly because yes he was great but you can say that without turning him into a religion, and while were at it the whole should still be at Liverpool thing is just endless whining too, he made his choice and everyone needs to move on instead of dragging his name into every thread like he owes the internet something
 
That shirt is going to get talked about as much as the goal. It is one of those moments that sticks in the mind because of the whole package.
 
He remains one of the most dependable forwards around, and the reaction here shows how much that consistency matters. Even when the setting changes, the expectation around him does not. That is usually what separates a star from a player people just admire for a good spell.
 
Salah just keeps doing this and people still act like its some sort of surprise every single time, which is mental because he has been the same player for years now, ruthless in the box, calm under pressure, always finding a way to make the moment about him, and honestly if you are still debating whether he belongs in the conversation then you are probably just refusing to watch properly because the guy has been ridiculous for ages and the way he keeps popping up in these threads is proof enough, proper king behaviour and I dont want to hear any more nonsense about him not being this or that because he is exactly that and more and he keeps shutting people up
 
People acting like this is some kind of joke because it is not the Prem is missing out on him and thats just facts he would still be ripping it apart there and everyone knows it, the disrespect he gets is mad when all he does is keep producing, some of you lot only care when a player is in a certain league and that is exactly why football chat is so shallow sometimes, Salah is a top level player no matter where he is and if you cant see that then you are just choosing not to because of badges and hype and all that nonsense
 
The tactical reason these moments keep happening is that he is so good at arriving early and making the defender choose. If the line steps, he attacks the gap; if they hold, he has time to set himself. That kind of decision forcing is why he keeps producing even when everyone knows what is coming.
