Spurs agree Savinho deal

Spurs might be paying for the fact he is only 22 and available now, which is the kind of move clubs either regret instantly or look clever for later imo
 
honestly i just dont get how the fee keeps going up every summer and clubs still act shocked when fans laugh at it because 75m plus add ons for a winger with this kind of record is the exact sort of thing that makes people lose faith in transfer logic and then city walk away laughing with a record sale and everyone else is left arguing about potential like its a real currency
 
I can see the argument that Spurs needed to be bold, and if they believe Savinho is the right fit then fair enough, but this kind of fee is exactly how pressure becomes a problem from day one. The moment he has a quiet run the noise will be unbearable and every mistake will get dragged through the mud and honestly I think people are underestimating how brutal that will be for him and for the club because if this goes wrong it will be everywhere and if it goes right theyll still have to live with everyone saying they overpaid and im not sure anyone comes out of that clean
 
The important thing here is whether he can actually stretch the pitch and give Spurs more threat in wide areas because if he does then the fee is less about goals and more about what the whole attack becomes, but if he doesnt then it is just another expensive luxury and that is where these deals get ugly
