Victor Edvardsen mocking Angelo Stiller’s cleft lip – how hard should he be punished?

Proper bully vibes. Start the trouble, hide behind teammates, then cry about emotions after. Respect to Undav for stepping in straight away, that is how you look after your own.

This is why I always say football culture is stuck in the stone age. Racism, homophobia, now mocking disabilities on camera and somehow people still go yeah but emotions. Come on man.

Seeing fans with cleft lip stories in the comments actually hit me. You can tell how many people had to hear that kind of shit growing up. This clown just reminded them of every school bully they have ever met.

He even did the gesture again when Stiller got subbed off. That is not a slip in the moment, that is him enjoying it. Minimum multi match ban if you actually care about this stuff at all.

Honestly the Go Ahead statement should have been out within an hour. Even a basic we are looking into it would have calmed things down. Silence just looks like they do not care.

ref gets one look at a crowd forming and just goes double yellow to keep it simple. no thought if someone was actually abused first. happens in every league.

The funniest part is that Stiller will probably end up at a top club in a year or two while nobody remembers this guy outside of clips of him being vile. That is some real karma energy there.

For anyone asking why it should be a red, the laws already allow dismissal for offensive and insulting gestures. Targeting a visible disability is about as clear as it gets. You do not need a special line in the rulebook for it.

You just know his social media apology is getting drafted as we speak. Notes app, big paragraph about learning moments, maybe one generic charity tagged at the end 😂

calling that emotions is wild. you celebrate a goal with emotion, you do not copy a guys face to mock surgery scars. thats just being a clown with no brain cells left.

Seen this type before in smaller leagues. Always the tough guy, always some edgy banner or gesture, never the actual baller. Stiller will have highlights people replay for years, this dude will have this clip.

If you listen to the Dutch fans, they have been calling him a problem for a while. Leash banner, nonsense interviews, now this. At some point clubs need to stop hiding behind discipline talks and just move them on.

Undav shoving him instantly is low key one of the best moments of the whole clip. No hesitation, straight in to protect his teammate. That is dressing room leadership.

you see the guy say he doesnt know if he will even apologise. man is cooked. not even pretending to be sorry, just hiding behind the whole he said stuff too line.

If this was my changing room we are having a very long talk after. You can miss chances, make mistakes, whatever. But this kind of thing breaks trust with everyone, not just the lad you mocked.

Football always had dark humour but this is not that. You insult someone for something they were born with, in front of cameras, while losing 4 0. Cant think of anything more small time from a pro player.

club should sit him for a few games at least. he wants to act like a sunday league bully, let him watch from the stands like the rest of us.

Undav comes out of this looking like a hero, Stiller like a pro who kept his head and that clown like the guy nobody wants in their five a side team.

Honestly this is one of those clips you hope kids see for the reaction, not the gesture. Teammates jumping in, opponents defending Stiller, everyone agreeing it is out of line. That is the example to follow.
