Vincent Kompany praised after Bayern seal Bundesliga title in dominant 2025/26 campaign

mad thing is i wasnt sold on him at all, thought it was way too big a jump, but hes proper proved people wrong
 
He feels like one of those coaches who is more suited to front-foot dominant teams than survival-mode teams. That is not a flaw, just profile fit.
 
Good on him. Burnley got used as a stick to beat him with, but loads of smart coaches would struggle in that spot too.
 
I am curious how much credit Rene Maric gets behind the scenes as well, because Bayern look very well drilled. Either way, Kompany has clearly built a strong staff around him.
 
Question for Bayern fans. Was there a point this season where you fully believed in him, or was there still doubt until pretty late?
 
Three things
- huge pressure job
- huge points total
- huge amount of people now pretending they always rated him
 
There is also an underappreciated difference between implementing a possession model with superior technicians versus trying to do it with a bottom-end squad under constant pressure.
 
Now that he is winning, everyone loves the multilingual calm genius act. If Bayern were 8 points behind, people would be calling it fake charisma.
 
What I like most is this:
- Bayern are scoring like mad
- they still look structured
- he has not come across arrogant once
 
The funniest thing is Bayern did the full clown show manager search and still ended up with a better coach than some of the names they were chasing.
 
man got the job after half of europe said bayern were in the mud and now hes out here lifting silverware, fair play 😂
 
His teams always seemed to value spacing and clean buildup patterns. The question was robustness, not coaching intelligence.
 
For a club like Bayern, man-management is almost as important as tactics. You need to handle stars, pressure, media, board drama, everything. He looks built for that.
