Vozinha absolutely deserved MOTM

i get why people are hyping him but lets not pretend cape verde were just hanging on by luck they were set up well and that matters too because a keeper can only shine if the whole side is doing the basics right and they clearly were
 
Honestly this is why I love international football because one minute everyone is talking about Spain like they are supposed to stroll through everything and the next minute Vozinha is out there making save after save and suddenly the whole match has flipped on its head and the whole internet is losing its mind and then you get all the usual nonsense about followers and trophies and market value and all that crap but the actual football moment is simple, a keeper had a huge night and Cape Verde backed him up and Spain could not find a way through and that is it, that is the story, and it should be allowed to just be that without turning into a lecture or a meme war or people pretending they knew this was coming all along because half of them definitely did not and the other half are just chasing the clip and honestly good for them because clips like this are why people stay up late watching tournament football in the first place and why every few years some bloke nobody was talking about becomes the main character for a night and everyone suddenly acts like they have been following him forever
 
Tactically this makes sense because if Cape Verde stayed compact and trusted Vozinha to handle the dangerous moments then Spain would end up circulating without much joy and that is often how these games are won at tournament level, not by dominating every phase but by denying space and making the opposition impatient. The keeper gets the headline, but the collective shape is what allowed it to happen.
