World Cup parking prices shock fans as Euro 2028 looks far cheaper

There are two separate issues here:
1. The face-value pricing is already hostile.
2. The surrounding event economy is even worse.
When parking, food and transport all become inflated, the match stops being a sporting event and starts resembling a controlled extraction exercise.
 
Genuine question. Who is this actually for then? Tourists with loads of cash? Sponsors? Because it clearly is not aimed at ordinary fans.
 
Even Disney catching strays in the comments and somehow still not beating world cup parking is nuts. thats how bad this looks
 
everyone keeps saying just dont go like its that simple, but thats exactly the point. a world cup should not become an event actual supporters have to boycott to keep their dignity
 
the atmosphere is gonna suffer for sure 😬 too many corporate seats and selfie crowds, not enough proper fans behind the goal
 
I do not mind premium seats being expensive. That will always happen. But parking at those numbers is just shameless. It feels like they are charging people simply because they know they can.
 
bro imagine paying huge money for the ticket then another stupid amount for parking then 14 dollars for water 😭 whole day would feel like an away loss before kickoff
 
The comparison works because it shows the priorities clearly. At the Euros, a fan can still realistically think in terms of seeing multiple matches. Here, one single non-ticket expense can wipe out that possibility. That is the opposite of what an international tournament should be about.
