- Monaro are the form favourites here at 2.25, though Cooma are close behind at 2.55 and the draw at 3.9 looks pretty tempting too.
- Monaro have won four of their last five matches and have won their last four in a row.
- Cooma are also in great shape with four wins and one draw from their last five, while they're unbeaten in two on the road.
Title race on a knife’s edge
Just one point separates these two clubs in third and second with Monaro Panthers FC boasting 27 points from 12 games and Cooma Tigers 28 from 13, so we're really into the championship race now. Monaro are the slight favourites to win this one at 2.25 but we think Cooma at 2.55 have enough about them to at least get a result here, while the 3.9 about the draw is tempting too.
The hosts have won their last four games in a row, so there's certainly momentum on Monaro's side. Manager Frank Cachia has a structure first blueprint, where the team sit in a compact shape and try to catch the opposition on the break, so this will be a cagey affair if they have their way. However, Monaro have won their last three away games by scores of 6-1, 5-2 and 5-2, so they're full of confidence and are used to getting the job done.
Visitors can get the job done
Cooma boss Ali Efe has a similar approach in that he presses high and wants his players to get the ball forward into the final third as quickly as possible, however his side are more attack minded and have shown themselves to be capable of scoring in a flurry. Last time out, they beat Canberra Juventus 5-1, showing just how dangerous they can be when they get on a roll.
The Tigers have a finals pedigree that could see them make the difference here, especially considering their 3-1 victory in the last meeting between these sides. There's little to separate these clubs however and Cooma could run out winners. Their away record in the NPL ACT League 2026 is three wins and two defeats from five, conceding just five in the process. With Monaro having won all four home games and conceding just six, we think the 1.28 about Over 2.5 goals looks a tad low, but the 3.25 about Both Teams To Score No suggests this could be a tense, tactical battle.
