A tight, tough encounter awaits at Underwood Park
The Australia Cup 2026 Round of 32 meeting between Rochedale Rovers and SD Raiders FC represents a fresh start for both clubs as they have no prior head-to-head history. Rochedale are the bookies' favourites for this one at 2.1, with SD Raiders set at 2.9 and the draw at 3.4, but we think the hosts are marginally more likely to scrape a win by a 1-goal margin in what will be a tense yet open knockout encounter.
Daniel Varma's side have had a mixed campaign so far, but they've shown some real quality in their 4-1 home trouncing of Gold Coast Knights as well as in the odd other contest. Goran Ljuboja's Raiders have a similar style of playing with a compact spine and the ability to press or go direct when the moment calls. They are a physical team and a tough one to play through the middle, but as their slip against Blacktown City showed, they can be caught out by c anny teams.
The best bet on the day may be for goals, with Over 2.5 goals at 1.57 and Both Teams To Score at 1.5 both pointing to a lively cup battle. Both teams have wobbled in defence this season and look equally likely to cave in if a goal is needed.
Rochedale are a little more consistent than their opponents
Raiders' Mihael Marcic is their sharpest attacking outlet, but he is a great choice to get on the scoresheet here. He is a real creator as well as a finisher and looks primed to trouble this Rochedale defence.
