Tribesmen can make Bohs work hard for it
Galway United are in good form coming into Friday's home clash with Bohemian FC Dublin at Eamonn Deacy Park. Paul Doolin's side are unbeaten in their last five games, with a 2-1 away win at Dundalk, a 1-1 home draw with Shelbourne and a 2-1 cup win at Drogheda keeping the Tribesmen's momentum going.
Bohemians' two most recent league wins were a 5-3 thriller at home to Derry City and a 3-0 cruise past Sligo Rovers, so their attack has been in fine form of late. Kristopher Twardek is their top Premier Division 2026 goalscorer with seven from 21 appearances, so he will be the main man to watch in the final third.
Colm Whelan is the Bohemians top scorer with ten from 29 and he will be the man to stop. Bohs are the more potent team, however, and have won their last three games, although they did draw 1-1 with Galway four weeks ago and their 3-1 record over the last five head-to-head meetings suggests they know how to handle this game.
Bohs boss Alan Reynolds has managed Bohemian FC Dublin since 26 March 2024 and his control-based system has settled in well. Their away record of 8-2-4 from 14 in the league should give them the edge in this clash.
