Alvarez liking posts and the whole thing is getting messy

The annoying part is that he is probably a very good player and this is the sort of thing that overshadows everything else. From a club's perspective, you are not just buying a footballer, you are buying the noise that comes with him, and that can be a real problem. Fans talk about loyalty all the time but the modern game is basically a giant bidding war with everyone pretending they are shocked when a player has preferences. Still, there is a line between wanting a move and turning the whole thing into a public performance, and he looks like he has crossed it. Then again the social media era has made everyone a bit obsessed with hints and breadcrumbs and it all becomes this endless soap opera where people refresh their phones like it is deadline day already

He is making himself look harder to sell by the day. The footballing case may still be strong, but the off-field noise is doing real damage.

Julian is honestly coming across as the biggest needy merchant in the whole thing like every post every like every little hint is just more attention seeking nonsense and it is making the whole saga stink even more, if you want Barca then fine say it with your chest but this constant little social media dance is pathetic and it just makes him look smaller and smaller, no club wants to be dragged through a soap opera for weeks over a bloke who cannot stop liking random stuff and acting like the world owes him a move

he's really out here making himself look like a right prat and then acting surprised people are calling it out, like mate if you want out just go about it properly instead of doing the tiktok and insta breadcrumb routine

I get why fans are annoyed, but this is also just modern transfer stuff now with everyone reading into every tiny gesture. If he really wants Barca then the whole thing is probably not going away anytime soon, imo

its mad because every club situation turns into this same circus now where one like on social media becomes a whole headline and everyone starts overreacting like its the end of the world and honestly if he wants to move then just move if the club want to sell then sell but this in between phase where people are checking every story and every post is just exhausting and makes the player look worse than he probably is and the fans are in the comments losing their minds for no reason

reminds me of a lad in our local who kept telling everyone he was leaving his missus then spent three weeks liking her photos and posting sad songs and in the end he still went back to her and looked like an idiot in front of the whole pub so yeah this whole Alvarez thing feels exactly like that just with more money and worse PR

from a football point of view this is a nightmare because the longer it drags the more it affects everyone around him and if he is serious about a move he should be keeping his head down not feeding the story every day

The officials in this transfer saga are basically the social media platform itself because every little action becomes evidence and every rumour gets treated like fact, and it is the same tired nonsense where nobody can just let things happen naturally anymore, people are acting like a liked post is a contract signing and clubs get dragged into this mess because they cannot say anything without it becoming another talking point, it is all so overblown and the whole thing is making everyone look daft
