I am going to defend the player a bit here because everyone is acting like he personally invented transfer drama when really this is what happens when clubs, agents and fanbases all turn every tiny hint into a public war. He is probably just trying to force clarity and the whole world is jumping on him like he has committed some crime. Players get told to be professional and then when they keep quiet people say they are hiding something, when they speak out people say they are arrogant, when they like a post people say they are desperate, there is literally no winning. That said, the way this has been handled is still a bit of a mess, but the pile on is ridiculous and people are acting like he has insulted their family when all he has done is become the centre of a transfer story that everyone else keeps feeding and honestly the whole thing is just tiring as hell

At first this looked like normal transfer noise and now it feels like everyone involved has lost the plot. If he wanted a cleaner route he should have gone about it differently, because all this public hinting is just making him look worse and making the whole thing drag on longer than it needs to and honestly I am getting sick of seeing the same saga repeated every hour like the entire sport revolves around one like on TikTok and if this is how it ends then fair enough but what a miserable way to do it

The main issue is that this kind of behaviour adds uncertainty to any deal. Even if the player is good enough, clubs will wonder whether the payoff is worth the distraction. When the window is this close to shutting, that uncertainty matters even more.
