Argentina steal it late against Egypt

i was in the pub watching this and the whole place just went from dead quiet to absolute chaos in about two minutes, one bloke near the bar had already started saying it was over and then suddenly everyone was on their feet shouting at the screen and spilling pints everywhere and i swear the lad next to me nearly launched his phone when the late goal went in, proper scenes, the sort of thing you remember because nobody was expecting anything after that 2-0 lead and then it just completely flipped and the whole room turned into one big argument about whether it was a choke or a miracle and honestly football nights like that are mad because you leave with no voice and a headache but you still love it
 
Argentina really do know how to drag everyone into the mud with them mate one minute theyre getting written off and the next its like theyve stolen the whole match and Egypt are left staring at each other wondering what on earth happened, absolute shambles for them
 
The shape changed completely once Argentina started committing more players forward and Egypt could not keep their lines connected. That late pressure forced errors, and once the first mistake came the rest followed pretty quickly
 
Argentina will take the three points and nobody can take that away from them, but that does not mean Egypt did not have every right to be furious with how that ended. They had the sort of lead you expect to manage out, and then it all unravels in a way that feels almost cruel, like the game itself is laughing at you and the longer it went on the more frantic it became and the more you could sense the panic spreading and that is the bit that makes it hurt because it was there, it was under control, and then it was gone and now everyone is calling it a collapse and honestly they are not wrong
 
marmoush is going to get blamed for this by everyone and that is way too easy because one player does not lose a game like that on his own, the whole side stopped dealing with the pressure and then suddenly every touch looked rushed and every clearance looked like it was going straight back into danger and people will pick out the obvious mistake and turn it into a full witch hunt when the real issue was the team losing control of the game at the worst possible time and i am sick of seeing one lad get hung out to dry when it is clearly a collective mess
 
i dont buy the whole egypt bottled it narrative completely because they were still in a decent position for most of the match and argentina had to work for every bit of it, once the momentum changed it snowballed and thats football sometimes, not every late collapse is some massive mental breakdown
