Argentina will take the three points and nobody can take that away from them, but that does not mean Egypt did not have every right to be furious with how that ended. They had the sort of lead you expect to manage out, and then it all unravels in a way that feels almost cruel, like the game itself is laughing at you and the longer it went on the more frantic it became and the more you could sense the panic spreading and that is the bit that makes it hurt because it was there, it was under control, and then it was gone and now everyone is calling it a collapse and honestly they are not wrong
