At a certain point you have to separate brand from nostalgia. Real being first is obvious, Arsenal rising is believable, and United slipping from where many fans instinctively place them is not shocking if the model is based on current visibility rather than legacy alone. But then you look at the rest of it and it starts to feel messy, because the gap between what supporters feel and what these firms calculate is massive, and that gap is exactly why people get so annoyed. I am not saying the whole thing is nonsense, but it absolutely feels like the sort of list designed to provoke a reaction, and fair play because it has worked, every fanbase is in here losing their minds and acting like their club has been personally insulted
